Job summary

Universal Electrical Service, Inc. is seeking a Traveling Electrical Construction Manager to lead traveling crews on data center projects. You will coordinate field operations, manage project execution, and ensure schedules, quality, and safety standards are met across multiple sites.

The role requires traveling to data center locations, coordinating manpower, vendors, and inspections, and developing leadership among Journeymen and Apprentices. Competitive compensation and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Strong background in electrical construction, field operations, and project coordination.
• Ability to review drawings and specifications and identify labor, material, equipment, and scheduling needs.
• Experience coordinating manpower, vendors, contractors, inspections, and project logistics.

Responsibilities

• Manage large-scale electrical construction projects from planning through completion.
• Develop schedules, milestones and execution plans to keep projects progressing on schedule.
• Coordinate front-end design, material planning, equipment needs and project logistics.
• Schedule vendors, contractors and equipment deliveries to meet project requirements.
• Prepare job status reports, daily reports and labor-hour trackers.
• Schedule and participate in post-project reviews to evaluate results and ensure alignment between field operations and the office.
• Travel to data center locations and other project sites to conduct site walk-throughs, assess project requirements and coordinate project execution.
• Support the preparation of electrical construction quotes and project estimates.
• Coordinate inspections, inspector walk-throughs, permits and other site requirements.
• Provide guidance and development opportunities for Leads, Foremen, Journeymen and Apprentices.
• Help build effective traveling crews and strengthen coordination between Universal Electrical Service and labor contractors to support project schedules and staffing needs.
• Represent Universal Electrical Service in customer meetings involving project design, scheduling and execution.
• Maintain communication between the office, field teams and customers—including during travel to project sites—to ensure expectations, schedules and results remain aligned.
