Job summary

Hunt Electric is seeking a Traveling Assistant Project Manager to support the administration, planning, and installation of large electrical construction projects across Commercial, Health Care, Data Centers, and Light Industrial sectors. The role requires willingness to co-locate at project sites and travel according to Hunt Electric’s plan.

You will assist the Project Manager, build client relations, and help optimize project economics and documentation in a fast-paced environment,

Qualifications

• Willing and able to co-locate at the project location with travel package that aligns with the Hunt Electric traveling plan.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) year degree in electrical construction, construction management, similar discipline, or equivalent experience.
• National Electrical Code knowledge preferred.
• Drawing/blueprint reading, and specification experience preferred.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word computer skills.
• Bluebeam and CAD experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet daily deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Assist the Project Manager: Work hand-in-hand with our seasoned Project Managers to oversee the entire project lifecycle – from procurement and engineering to subcontracting and installation.
• Build Strong Customer Relations: Develop and maintain positive interactions, ensuring client satisfaction and an exceptional industry reputation.
• Optimize Project Economics: Help keep projects on track economically while upholding quality workmanship.
• Master Project Documentation: Prepare, process, and manage all essential project documentation including files, schedules, reports, billing, and more.
• Complete Submittals and Close-Outs: Handle submittals and close-outs meticulously.
• Versatile Team Player: Tackle various tasks and responsibilities to broaden skills and contribute to the team’s success.

Physical Requirements

• This position operates at an industrial job site and is exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and noise, possibly requiring closed toed shoes, as well as occasional use of a hard hat and eye protection.
• This position also operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers.
• Employees are frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl.
• This position requires the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
• This position may occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.

Pay Range:

$66,560.00 - $92,160.00

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
