Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a part-time District Support Pharmacist to join our district network. You will cover pharmacist shifts, supervise teams, and ensure safe dispensing and patient care while traveling across CVS stores under the Pharmacy Manager’s guidance.

The role emphasizes compassionate service, immunizations where permissible, and collaboration with the pharmacy team and broader healthcare providers. Regular attendance and CVS policy adherence are required.

Qualifications

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require.
Cover pharmacist shifts across stores and serve as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts.
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment and patient safety.
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s duties when serving as primary pharmacist on duty.
Coach and support pharmacy staff to deliver compassionate care and resolve issues.
Offer immunizations and guide technicians in immunization practices where permissible.
Manage inventory with focus on cold chain protection and best practices.
