Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking an experienced Shop / Traveling Diesel Mechanic with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across medium- and heavy-duty trucks and equipment. This position is based in Oklahoma City, OK, with frequent travel to job sites across Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Kansas, and Colorado.

A company service truck, hotel accommodations, and per diem are provided for work-related travel.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of diesel mechanic experience, preferably on medium- or heavy-duty trucks.
• Strong hands-on diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, and emissions systems.
• Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
• Fabrication and welding experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a DOT physical.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Willingness to travel frequently across multiple states.
• Verifiable employment history and hands-on mechanical experience.

Responsibilities

• Travel to job sites to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks, skid steers, and related equipment.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and emissions systems.
• Use diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify and resolve issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance, routine servicing, and emergency repairs.
• Complete fabrication, welding, and cutting as needed.
• Maintain organized service truck, tools, and parts inventory; document repairs.
• Communicate repair updates and equipment needs to management.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and safety procedures; work extended hours when required.
