Job summary

Top Tempo Technical is seeking a Traveling Diesel/EV Mechanic in Indianapolis, IN to support an international transit manufacturer and parts distributor. You will troubleshoot high voltage electrical systems and install components in transit vehicles, with emphasis on EV tech and hydrogen-related applications.

The role requires 2+ years in electrical/HVAC or related fields, knowledge of 12V/24V/600V systems, and travel up to 75%. Valid DL and PLC/ladder knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in electrical, HVAC or related field.
Knowledge of 12V and 24V, 600V and air conditioning systems.
Electrical troubleshooting skills and experience.
Experience with testing devices (ammeters, voltmeters, multimeters).
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot high voltage electrical issues on transit buses and related vehicles.
Install electrical systems and components in transit vehicles.
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment.
Repair or replace parts, wiring, motors and other electrical equipment.
Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers.
