Turner Construction seeks a Design Manager for a full-time traveling assignment to lead the Advanced Technology Group in biotech/pharma design projects. Based at Greenville, SC, you will guide the design team from schematic stages through construction, coordinating with the client and construction teams to satisfy technical requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture.
• 10 years of experience in Engineering or Design Project Management.
• Construction Administration experience or equivalent.
• Experience leading large design teams and cross-disciplinary coordination.
• Knowledge of Architectural, Structural, MEP/HVAC disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead design team from schematic design through execution.
• Part of construction team; collaborate with Project Executive/Manager.
• Establish design scopes and contracts with designers.
• Communicate between designers, construction team, and client.
• Review construction/shop drawings to meet contractual obligations.
• Ensure timely delivery of design documents.
• Coordinate subcontractor design language.
• Initiate design reviews and optimize constructability and risk.
• Apply lean principles to minimize costs and speed delivery; balance first costs and life cycle.
• Other duties as assigned.
