Job summary

PopUp Smiles seeks a National Traveling Dental Assistant to bring high-quality care to workplaces and communities across California. This full-time role involves intrastate travel with diverse dental teams, delivering patient-centered care with professionalism.

You will prepare treatment areas, assist dentists, take radiographs where permitted, maintain records, and uphold HIPAA and safety standards while representing PopUp Smiles with reliability and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Dental assisting education, experience, or credentials appropriate for assigned duties and applicable state requirements.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, chairside assisting techniques, sterilization and infection control.
• Strong communication, organization and patient service skills.
• Ability to travel nationwide, including overnight assignments.
• Commitment to patient safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Travel to assigned locations throughout California to support mobile dental operations.
• Prepare treatment areas, instruments, equipment, and patients for dental procedures.
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during examinations and treatments.
• Take dental radiographs when permitted by state laws and credentials.
• Follow proper sterilization, disinfection, and infection control procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with dentists, hygienists, and field operations teams to support efficient patient flow.
• Assist with new location launches and temporary staffing needs.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable state regulations.

What You'll Do

As anIntrastateTraveling Dental Assistant, you'll be an essential part of our mobile clinical team, helping ensure every patient receives a positive, comfortable, and professional dental experience.

• Travel to assigned locations throughout California to support mobile dental operations.
• Prepare treatment areas, instruments, equipment, and patients for dental procedures.
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during examinations and treatments.
• Help create a welcoming and comfortable experience for every patient.
• Take dental radiographs when permitted by applicable state laws and credentials.
• Follow proper sterilization, disinfection, and infection control procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with dentists, hygienists, and field operations teams to support efficient patient flow.

Compensation & Benefits

PopUp Smiles offers a full-time employment package that includes:

• Competitive base compensation- 60k-75k DOE ( Negotiable)
• Potential performance and production incentives, subject to the applicable compensation plan.

• 401(k) retirement plan.
• 10 days of paid time off annually.
• Paid holidays, including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, plus other company-recognized holidays as applicable.

Travel Expectations

This position requires Intrastate travel based on business and clinical staffing needs.

Assignments may vary in location, duration, and schedule. Candidates should be comfortable with overnight travel, working with different clinical teams, and adapting to new environments.

Travel arrangements, reimbursement details, and scheduling expectations will be discussed during the interview process.
