The Opportunity

As a General Dentist, you'll be responsible for providing comprehensive, patient-centered dental care while helping create a welcoming, professional, and positive experience for every patient.

You'll work collaboratively with dental professionals and support staff to deliver high-quality treatment, educate patients, and promote long-term oral health.

Although PopUp Smiles operates a mobile dental healthcare model, this position is based in Newport Beach and would only require travel in Orange County. ( Newport Beach, Orange, and San Juan Capistrano)

What You'll Do

Deliver Exceptional Patient Care

• Perform comprehensive oral examinations and evaluate patients' dental health.
• Diagnose dental conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide preventive, restorative, and general dental treatments within your training and scope of practice.
• Explain treatment options clearly and help patients make informed decisions about their oral health.
• Maintain high standards of patient comfort, safety, and clinical care.

Collaborate With a Dedicated Dental Team

• Work closely with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative team members.
• Foster a supportive, respectful, and collaborative clinical environment.
• Communicate effectively to ensure smooth patient scheduling, treatment coordination, and continuity of care.
• Contribute to a positive patient experience at every stage of treatment.

Maintain Clinical Excellence

• Follow all applicable California Dental Board regulations, HIPAA requirements, OSHA standards, and infection control protocols.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, diagnoses, and treatment records.
• Stay current with advancements in dentistry, clinical techniques, and best practices.
• Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and patient confidentiality.

• Support efficient clinical workflows and responsible use of practice resources.
• Build patient trust through education, communication, and quality care.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental program.
• Active California dental license in good standing.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• DEA registration, when required for assigned duties.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
• Commitment to ethical, evidence-based, patient-centered dentistry.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a professional dental environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience practicing general dentistry.
• Proficiency in restorative and preventive dental procedures.
• Experience with digital dental records and practice management software; Dentrix Ascend experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and a commitment to continuous professional development.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $ 900- $ 1,200 DOE
