Equiliem is seeking a Traveling Data Center Technician II in Meridian, MS. The role involves installing, routing, dressing, and terminating structured cabling within data center environments, including fiber and copper cabling, cable trays, and racks.

Qualifications

• Experience pulling and dressing fiber optic cable in a team environment.
• Experience terminating copper cabling, including Cat 5 and Cat 6.
• Experience with data center, structured cabling, low-voltage, or telecommunications installations.
• Ability to install cable trays and perform rack-and-stack activities.
• Fiber optic termination experience is preferred.
• Willingness to travel for project assignments and training.

Traveling Data Center Technician II

Location: Meridian, MS

Schedule/Shift: Monday-Friday, typically starting at 7:00 AM; 10-hour shifts; additional sixth day as needed

Pay: $22.00-$29.00 per hour

Job Summary

The Traveling Data Center Technician II is responsible for installing, routing, dressing, and terminating structured cabling within data center environments. This role works as part of a team to install fiber and copper cabling, cable trays, racks, and related infrastructure while maintaining established quality and safety standards. Candidates must be comfortable traveling to other project locations for extended training assignments and working a schedule that may include additional days based on project needs.

• Install and terminate copper cabling, including Cat 5 and Cat 6.
• Assist with or perform fiber optic cable termination based on experience.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience pulling and dressing fiber optic cable in a team environment.
• Experience terminating copper cabling, including Cat 5 and Cat 6.
• Experience with data center, structured cabling, low-voltage, or telecommunications installations.
• Ability to install cable trays and perform rack-and-stack activities.
• Fiber optic termination experience is preferred.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, installation standards, and safety procedures.
• Ability and willingness to work 10-hour shifts and an additional sixth day when required.
• Ability and willingness to travel for approximately 4-6 weeks at a time for project assignments and training.
• Must be local to the Meridian, MS area.

• This position requires extended travel to other project sites for training and project support.
• Candidates should be prepared for travel assignments lasting approximately 4-6 weeks.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required based on project schedules.
