Job summary

Apploi seeks a Traveling Cook Manager to lead culinary operations across multiple healthcare and assisted living communities. You will travel between facilities, provide hands-on cooking leadership, and ensure high-quality meals, safety, and resident satisfaction.

You will coach kitchen teams, standardize menus and food safety practices, and support openings and transitions. Strong dietary experience, ServSafe certification, and ability to manage inventory and vendor relationships are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a high school education or equivalent.
• Two years dietary experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Experience working with senior adults or healthcare populations.
• ServSafe certification or equivalent food-safety credential.
• Certified Dietary Manager strongly preferred.
• Experience managing multiple culinary locations and travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise culinary operations across multiple facilities.
• Travel regularly to provide hands-on cooking and operational support.
• Coach Executive Chefs and kitchen staff; standardize quality and service.
• Ensure meals meet nutritional and dietary needs and safety standards.
• Oversee inventory, purchasing, waste, and menu management.
