Job summary

OBR Cooling Towers is seeking a Cooling Tower Cleaning Technician to perform thorough power washing and cleaning of cooling towers and water storage tanks, ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.

The position involves travel to customer sites across the Northeast, with early start times (as early as 4:30 AM),

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience power washing or industrial cleaning.
• Prior experience working at heights, in confined spaces, and in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cleaning of cooling towers and water storage tanks using power washing equipment and approved cleaning methods.
• Operate power washers safely, selecting appropriate spray heads and pressures for each task.
• Assist with pre- and post-cleaning activities, including system preparation and clean-up.
• Accurately follow instructions from supervisors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Complete required safety documentation, including Job Hazard Analyses and daily paperwork.
• Follow all company safety policies, including proper PPE usage and chemical handling procedures.
• Read and apply information from Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) as required.
• Maintain a professional attitude and strong work ethic while representing the company at client sites.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
