Job summary

Trillium Construction is now seeking a Construction Surveyor to support utility-scale solar and BESS projects. This is a traveling role, with work across Arizona, New Mexico, and other SW sites, performing field layout, surveying, and verification to support civil, structural, and electrical construction. The position is a 90-day contract-to-hire arrangement.

It offers $145 per diem, seven days a week, and pay between $40 and $45 per hour. Travel between project sites is required.

Qualifications

Previous construction surveying experience on utility-scale projects preferred.
Experience with staking, layout, elevation verification, and as-built surveys.
Proficiency with GPS/GNSS surveying equipment and total stations.
Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and electrical drawings.
Willingness to travel between sites in AZ/NM and SW region.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

Perform surveying, staking, and layout for BESS installations on utility-scale solar projects.
Localize GNSS equipment using control points or benchmarks.
Provide layout for foundations, enclosures, and electrical ducts.
Document as-built surveys and maintain survey records.
Coordinate daily surveying with Site Superintendent and crews.
Ensure equipment is calibrated, maintained, and used safely.
