Job summary

Norcon, Inc. seeks an experienced Traveling Construction Superintendent based in the Greater Indianapolis area. The role supports Norcon projects across Indiana and the United States, leading field activities and coordinating with clients and subcontractors.

The candidate will manage safety, quality and schedule, travel regularly, and own project field operations from mobilization through closeout while working closely with the Project Management team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of commercial construction field experience preferred.
• Experience as a Superintendent or Lead Superintendent on commercial projects.
• Experience managing projects from mobilization through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all field activities from preconstruction through closeout, responsible for safety, quality, schedule and day-to-day site operations.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and four-week look-ahead schedules; review progress weekly.
• Run Field Foreman Meetings to communicate expectations, sequencing and upcoming work.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors onsite to maintain schedule and quality standards.
• Develop strong relationships with clients, owners, architects and project partners.
• Ensure site safety and adherence to Norcon safety procedures.
• Monitor quality control and construction methods on site.
• Prepare daily journal reports documenting site activity.
• Identify and communicate potential schedule, cost or coordination issues early.
• Manage field-related costs and change orders.
