Job summary

STO Building Group is seeking a Superintendent to manage day-to-day construction operations on site, directing crews and coordinating procurement and schedule adherence. The role emphasizes collaboration with the Project Manager and subcontractors to meet project milestones on time and within budget.

You will travel to project sites nationwide, with a focus on ground-up commercial projects in light industrial and cold storage sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience on ground-up commercial projects, especially light industrial/cold storage.
• Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand codes and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily site operations, including scheduling, production, and procurement of materials, manpower, and equipment.
• Coordinates with Project Manager to develop and monitor project schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Directs procurement of tools and materials to align with work schedules.
• Ensures safety policies, quality standards, and housekeeping are maintained across the site.
• Interfaces with subcontractors, clients, and craft personnel to coordinate phases of work and resolve issues.
