Job summary

The Superior Group is seeking a Traveling Construction Project Manager for Midwest-based electrical construction projects. This full-time role manages project scope, scheduling, budgets, and coordination with Superintendents and Foremen to drive on-time completion across sites in Ohio and surrounding states.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in project operations/management within commercial construction, with a background in design-build or negotiated projects from $5M to $50M, and OSHA

Qualifications

• 4+ years of project operations/project management experience in commercial construction or equivalent field operations management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; Construction Management certificate or equivalent experience.
• Experience with design-build, hard bid, and negotiated projects around $5M to $50M.
• Extensive knowledge in construction management software.
• Active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

• Mitigate and manage project risk, escalate concerns with solutions to leadership.
• Create and manage the full project schedule from kickoff to closeout.
• Manage all project finance requirements: billings, setup, buy-out, cost control, change orders, cost to complete.
• Build client trust through communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.
• Chair project meetings including planning, progress updates, and reviews with customers.
• Coordinate across departments to ensure materials are available when needed.
• Provide clear leadership and guidance to all team members.
• Understand and negotiate changes to the project contract as needed.
• Review estimates, drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Ensure timely completion of all job closeout procedures.
• Maintain a high degree of safety on the jobsite.
