Job summary

Hunt Companies is seeking a Traveling Construction Field Manager to oversee and direct construction management for multiple large-scale projects. This role involves significant travel to coordinate bidding, inspections and construction while maintaining quality within schedule and budget.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years in construction or engineering, a bachelor's degree in a related field, and strong leadership, communication and budgeting skills. Travel required; benefits provided.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction or related discipline required.
5–7 years of professional experience in construction, development or engineering.
Experience in planning and construction of large-scale buildings and major sitework.
Experience in estimating and preparing change orders.
4–6 years of management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan, monitor and manage all aspects of multiple large-scale building projects, including scope, schedule and budget.
Lead or manage progress reporting, contractor management and troubleshooting.
Assist with project planning, resourcing and staffing.
Monitor contractor performance and adjust resources or costs as needed.
Oversee schedules and ensure timely delivery of materials and resources.
Ensure quality, reliability, schedule and cost targets are met.
Provide status updates to project teams and sponsors.
Promote safety and implement safety programs and policies.
Review contracts and determine timeframes and funding for project phases.
Build and maintain relationships with clients and sub-contractors.
