Job summary

Veit & Company, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Estimator to finalize bids and secure projects, then lead overall management from start to finish, including scheduling, cost control, progress monitoring and client contact.

The role requires extensive experience in estimating and managing large complex projects, coordinating with operations, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and maintaining profitability through prudent change management and strong client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of estimating and managing large complex projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across management and vendors.
• Experience with bidding processes, plan review, and submittal construction documents.
• Proficient in Viewpoint Vista/HCSS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Finalize client and public entity estimates and proposals.
• Identify and pursue bid opportunities through relationships and postings.
• Prepare full estimates for large complex work and coordinate bid submittals.
• Direct multiple projects, align pre-construction meetings, and coordinate with field and office staff.
• Obtain permits and licensing as required.
• Manage costs by tracking labor and materials and oversee billing accuracy.
• Ensure EEO/DBE compliance and safe, on-time project delivery.
• Manage changes to scope to protect profitability and communicate with owners/GCs.
