Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Manager to oversee planning, procurement, scheduling, and execution of construction projects. The role may handle multiple projects, aiming to maximize profitability while achieving quality and safety standards that exceed owner expectations.

The position requires coordinating with internal and external teams, managing budgets and contracts, and delivering successful project outcomes through careful planning, value engineering, and proactive risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong understanding of estimating concepts and market rates.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team in developing the project management plan (PMP) and organize pre-award and pre-construction meetings.
• Prepare a project schedule and milestones to successfully complete the project in coordination with the project superintendent.
• Negotiate change orders and manage cost and profit impact for owner and subcontractors.
• Develop monthly client pay requests and monitor collections.
• Oversee materials, equipment procurement, and ensure alignment with budget and schedule.
• Manage client relationships and all project meetings with the client.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements; support risk management plans.
