Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Project Manager to lead ground-up commercial projects, overseeing planning, procurement, scheduling, and execution. This role travels full-time and is on-site at project locations, with potential assignments to multiple projects.

You will collaborate with the Superintendent, manage budgets and estimates, prepare PMP, coordinate permits and subcontracts, and ensure safety, quality, and profitable delivery for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in ground-up commercial projects, especially light industrial or cold storage.
• Knowledge of estimating concepts, contracts, laws and practices relevant to construction.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and delegate to others; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, procurement, scheduling, and execution of construction projects.
• Prepare estimates and project budgets; develop PMP and conduct pre-award/pre-construction meetings.
• Negotiate change orders and manage subcontractor relationships; ensure permits and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, cost controls, safety, quality, and risk management plans.
• Maintain client relationships and communicate project status and outcomes.
