Job summary

MasTec Renewables is seeking a Construction Manager III to lead utility-scale solar and battery storage projects across the United States. You will manage site operations, safety, scheduling, and cross-functional teams including civil, mechanical, electrical trades and crews.

The role requires extensive field leadership, strong budgeting and change-management skills, and willingness to travel up to 100% with 8–12 month project rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience
• Seven years of construction industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating and construction management
• Previous supervisory experience overseeing more than three trades on large projects
• Self-perform construction project experience with large field teams (200+ staff)

Responsibilities

• Communicate and comply with safety policies and campaigns to the project team
• Oversee the project team to create a respectful, constructive environment
• Direct and evaluate the project; coordinate with PM and site staff
• Supervise construction workers and other Construction Managers
• Coordinate activities of trades, suppliers and subcontractors
• Monitor project costs to ensure they stay within budget
• Maintain production schedules and meet project requirements
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations
• Manage change orders with PM/APM
• Lead client relations and manage expectations
• Mentor apprentices and support PWA compliance where applicable
• Perform other duties as assigned
