B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a Commercial Concrete Carpenter to perform formwork, setup, and finishing of concrete structures on job sites in Shreveport, LA. You will erect forms, place and finish concrete, and work with the crew to meet project specs.

The role requires reading drawings, building forms, and accurate elevation control, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork on busy construction sites.

Qualifications

• Must read and understand construction drawings and prints.
• Demonstrated ability to build and install concrete forms.
• Ability to set elevations and ensure accurate placement.
• Strong communication with foremen and project staff.
• Adherence to safety policies and job site rules.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and prints for formwork.
• Build and assemble wood or metal forms for concrete structures.
• Set forms to correct elevations and locations, may aid reinforcing steel.
• Use various forming systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy with plumb bob, level, laser or transit.
• Set up scaffolding and ladders for elevated work.
• Communicate problems, material needs, and hazards to the team.
• Ensure all equipment is safe to operate and maintained.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
