Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a Commercial Concrete Carpenter to perform formwork and carpentry tasks for concrete structures, foundations, and site work. The role requires reading drawings and assembling forms for floors, walls, columns, and tilt-wall structures with attention to safety and quality.

You will set and verify forms, assist with concrete placement, and coordinate with supervisors to ensure elevations and tolerances meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, tilt-walls, elevated slabs, etc.
• Commitment to safety policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and prints to prepare formwork.
• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for concrete structures.
• Set forms to elevations and locations, aid in reinforcing steel placement.
• Erect forms using various materials and forming systems, primarily Symon forms.
• Verify accuracy of structures using plumb bob, level, laser, or transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for above-ground work.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager about problems, materials, or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
