Job summary

Smart Care is a national repair and service provider for commercial foodservice, refrigeration, and cold storage equipment. This role supports installations and maintenance, assisting with assembly, uncrating, and moving equipment into position in the Bay Area.

You will drive service/delivery trucks with lift-gate, assist technicians, and participate in ongoing training in safety and equipment knowledge. Travel and evenings may be required; strong customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or related experience.
• Driver's license in good standing and meet insurance requirements.
• 0-1 year experience in related field.
• Certified to operate a forklift and company certification provided if needed.
• Pass a DOT physical where required.
• Knowledge of welding, hydraulics and/or electrical skills.
• Understand troubleshooting of mechanical problems.
• Basic plumbing and soldering knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and moving tools and equipment.
• Ability to work safely and follow company guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with equipment installations and maintenance as required.
• Assist with assembly of equipment and inspect for proper operation.
• Uncrating and moving equipment into position.
• Drive service/delivery truck to destinations with lift-gate.
• Assist other staff and technicians as required.
• Travel as needed; work hours vary.
• Train other technicians in knowledge and skills required.
• Complete ongoing training in safety, equipment knowledge and skills.
• Pick up and deliver parts as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
