Job summary

REIC Rentals seeks a traveling Commercial HVAC Service Technician to service our rental fleet nationwide, with a focus on Montana. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain heating, cooling, dehumidification, and environmental control equipment at customer sites and in shop settings.

You will travel extensively, uphold safety standards, and deliver hands-on training and excellent customer support to customers and teammates. EPA Universal Certification and 3–5 years HVAC/R experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical experience in HVAC, equipment service, field maintenance, or related work.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Safety-first mindset in shop and field environments.
• Clear, professional communication with customers and teammates.
• EPA Universal Certification and 3-5 years of HVAC/R experience strongly preferred.
• Clean driving record and minimum age of 21.
• Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites.
• Flexibility to handle changing daily priorities and seasonal overtime.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC rental equipment in the shop and at customer job sites.
• Accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Provide hands-on customer support and basic equipment operation training.
• Document service work thoroughly using modern service management systems.
• Travel to customer sites and support seasonal overtime demands.
• Maintain a strong safety focus on the road, in the shop, and at customer locations.
