Job summary

REIC Rentals is seeking a traveling Commercial HVAC Service Technician to serve as a trusted technical expert responsible for keeping our high-performance rental fleet operating at peak efficiency. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC rental equipment both in the shop and on customer sites, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

• 3+ years of technical HVAC experience in service, field maintenance, or related work.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred and HVAC/R experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites.
• Safety-first mindset in shop and field environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC rental equipment in the shop and at customer job sites.
• Accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Provide hands-on customer support and basic equipment operation training.
• Document service work thoroughly using modern service management systems.
• Travel to customer sites and support seasonal overtime demands.
• Maintain a strong safety focus on the road, in the shop, and at customer locations.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of technical experience in HVAC, equipment service, field maintenance, or related work
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrated safety-first mindset in shop and field environments
• Clear, professional communication skills with customers and teammates
• EPA Universal Certification and 3-5 years of HVAC/R experience strongly preferred
• Clean driving record and minimum age of 21
• Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites
• Flexibility to handle changing daily priorities and seasonal overtime
