Job summary

REIC Rentals is seeking a Traveling Commercial HVAC Service Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair our rental fleet at customer sites and in shop environments. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues, read schematics, and train customers on basic equipment operation while keeping safety a top priority.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC, equipment service, or related field experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Safety-first mindset in shop and field environments.
• EPA Universal Certification and HVAC/R experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel statewide.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC rental equipment in the shop and at customer sites.
• Accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Provide hands-on customer support and basic equipment operation training.
• Document service work thoroughly using modern service management systems.
• Travel to customer sites and support seasonal overtime demands.
• Maintain a strong safety focus on the road, in the shop, and at customer locations.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of technical experience in HVAC, equipment service, field maintenance, or related work
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrated safety-first mindset in shop and field environments
• Clear, professional communication skills with customers and teammates
• EPA Universal Certification and 3-5 years of HVAC/R experience strongly preferred
• Clean driving record and minimum age of 21
• Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites
• Flexibility to handle changing daily priorities and seasonal overtime
