Job summary

Valley Healthcare System Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support its school-based health program across multiple sites in Stewart and Calhoun Counties.

The CMA will provide clinical and administrative support, travel between school sites, and assist with immunizations, basic procedures, and patient documentation. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, CMA certification, and at least 6 months of CMA experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current CMA certification (Georgia or nationally recognized)

Responsibilities

• Collect patient information, vital signs (BP, TPR, height/weight).
• Assist with procedures and administer treatments (nebulizers, oxygen, wound care, EKGs).
• Prepare and administer immunizations and injections (as delegated).
• Support laboratory functions: specimen collection, preparation, packaging.
• Perform routine X-ray and lab procedures under supervision.
• Sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated materials.
