Sedgwick County's COMCARE invites applications for a Traveling Clinician delivering patient-centered therapy across schools and community sites. Monday-Friday schedule with some evenings, requires driving to multiple locations within Sedgwick County.

You will conduct intake, assessments, individual and group therapy for children with Serious Emotional Disturbance, develop treatment plans, document in medical records, and coordinate with partners.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree in social work or a related field.
• Current LMSW/LMFT/LP/LPC/LP licensure by BSRB.
• Valid US driver's license with insurance and access to a vehicle.

Responsabilidades

• Provide individual therapy to children with Serious Emotional Disturbance.
• Perform intake/assessment using DSM criteria and document findings.
• Conduct risk assessments to address safety concerns.
• Initiate outreach to improve engagement and access.
• Travel to multiple Sedgwick County sites, including schools and partner clinics.
• Deliver group therapy sessions as appropriate.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, varies, with some evening hours.

Provide goal-directed, patient-centered, medically necessary individual and family therapy to children with Serious Emotional Disturbance and their families to improve their quality of life and ability to function more successfully in the community.

Service Provision Therapy and Assessment Services

• Individual therapy using identified and accepted methods to remediate symptoms of mental illness and/or improve emotional and functional well-being.
• Intake/assessment to include history, presenting problems and diagnoses using DSM-V TR criteria.
• Conduct risk assessments as needed to address safety of patients.
• Initiate outreach to increase engagement.
• Drive to various work locations within Sedgwick County; inclauding schools within USD 259, EmberHope, and Children’s Community Services Clinic.
• Conducting group therapy, as appropriate

Treatment Planning

• Prepare quality treatment plans in collaboration with patient and/or guardian, additional treatment team and community partners.
• Facilitate or collaborate in review, updates, and progress on goals with Treatment Plan coordinator or other member of the treatment team.

Documentation

• Complete progress notes in accordance with COMCARE and CCBHC guidelines which meet requirements for medical necessity, goal-directed therapy, and patient response to treatment within prescribed timelines.
• Complete Notes for Record, Precautions statements and authorizations for release of records, releases of information, safety documents and other documentation as required and/or recommended.
• Enters no show and cancellations for accuracy and completeness of medical record.
• Enter AIMS data as needed.
• Completes discharge summary when closing to therapy services.
• Completes court reports or treatment summaries within required timelines as set by the entity

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree. Per Sedgwick County policy, this is a driving level position that requires a valid US driver’s license without restrictions and current proof of automobile insurance. Must have access to a personal passenger vehicle to complete the driving duties of the position. Must be licensed by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as an LMSW, LMFT, LMLP, LPC, or LP. Employees hired with a temporary license must test for permanent licensure within 90 days of hire. Meet the specifications as outlined in the CMHC/CCBHC licensing standards and pass KBI, DCF child abuse check, DCF adult abuse registry, KDADS Nurse Registry Check, National Sex Offender Registry Check, and motor vehicle screens. Must complete orientations provided by Sedgwick County and COMCARE.

Preferred Qualifications: May be clinically licensed by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as an LCP or LCPC, LCMFT, or LSCSW.
