Job summary

Aventura Healthcare Group in Ohio seeks a Traveling Chef Manager to lead culinary operations across multiple healthcare and assisted living communities. This role provides hands-on leadership, supports local kitchen teams, ensures consistent food quality and service, and promotes a resident-focused dining experience.

You will travel between assigned facilities in Springfield, Dayton, North Lima, Cincinnati, Youngstown and surrounding areas, cook and supervise menu execution, train staff, and

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• 2 years dietary experience in hospital or senior care preferred.
• ServSafe Manager certification or equivalent safety credential.
• Experience managing multiple culinary locations or traveling to cook.
• Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.

Responsibilities

• Multisite travel to assess and support culinary operations across facilities.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and operational guidance to kitchen teams.
• Establish culinary standards, recipes, and service expectations across locations.
• Train staff on cooking techniques, sanitation, and portion control.
• Monitor inventory, purchasing, and waste; standardize ordering practices.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and patient dietary needs.
