Job summary

Aventura at Oakwood Village is seeking a Traveling Chef Manager to lead culinary operations across multiple healthcare communities in Ohio. You will travel between facilities, cook, and supervise kitchen teams to ensure high-quality, nutritious meals and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include hands-on training, maintaining menu execution, and optimizing operations to support resident satisfaction. Mileage reimbursement is provided and travel is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have high school education or equivalent.
• Two years dietary experience in hospital or healthcare facility preferred.
• ServSafe Manager certification or equivalent food-safety credential.
• Certified Dietary Manager strongly preferred.
• Experience managing multiple culinary locations or traveling to cook.
• Inventory, purchasing, and menu management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead multisite kitchen operations and travel between facilities.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and operational guidance to kitchen staff.
• Establish consistent culinary standards, recipes, presentation, and service expectations.
• Monitor food quality, safety, and resident satisfaction across locations.
• Train staff on cooking techniques, food prep, sanitation, portion control, and kitchen organization.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and company standards.
• Support new community openings, staffing, and operational turnarounds as needed.
