Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Certified Crane Operator to support construction, maintenance and repair of overhead electric transmission systems across multiple sites. Travel to Florida and other locations is required.

The role involves operating boom trucks and cranes, performing rigging, inspecting equipment, and adhering to safety standards. Candidates should have a Class A CDL, crane certification, DOT credential, and 3–5 years of experience (5–10 preferred) and be willing to work overtime

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A CDL.
• Crane certified operator's card required.
• DOT certification required.
• Reads load charts and rigging.
• Knowledge of rigging techniques.
• 3–5 years of experience; 5–10 preferred.
• Willing to travel on short notice.
• Willing to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operates boom trucks and cranes.
• Perform construction, maintenance or repair on energized and de-energized overhead lines.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools.
• Inspect crane or boom truck and cribbing.
• Set up crane or boom truck and oversee operations.
• Drive cranes and ensure proper setup.
• Assist Foreman with ground duties when not operating.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
