PUSH, Inc is seeking a Traveling Backhoe Operator for utility construction. The role involves safely operating heavy equipment to install fiber, copper, and power cables, reading prints, and mentoring other operators.

Expect travel and field work in diverse environments with strong safety practices. Ideal candidates bring field experience with underground utilities, a valid license, and a readiness to work in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Field experience digging around utilities in rural and urban areas.
• Ability to read and interpret prints and schematics for utility installations.
• Willingness to train and mentor other operators.

Responsibilities

• Operate backhoe, mini excavator, cable plow, or track hoe safely.
• Excavate around existing utilities and install conduits as needed.
• Provide guidance to co-workers learning to operate equipment.
• Perform routine labor tasks and equipment setup as required.
• Travel with crew to job sites and assist with overall job duties.
