Job summary

PUSH, Inc. is seeking a Traveling Backhoe Operator- Utility Construction to safely operate heavy equipment (backhoe, mini excavator, cable plow, track hoe) for utility installation projects.

This role requires field experience around utilities in rural and urban areas and the ability to train and mentor other team members. You will perform routine equipment maintenance, read prints and schematics, and assist with basic labor tasks.

Qualifications

• Field experience with digging operations around utilities.
• Experience operating utility construction equipment including backhoe, mini excavator, cable plow, or track hoe.
• Ability to read prints and schematics.
• Willingness to train and mentor other team members.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment including backhoe, mini excavator, cable plow, or track hoe.
• Dig around existing utilities safely and efficiently.
• Provide training and assistance to co-workers learning to be operators.
• Perform routine labor tasks (potholing, set-up of equipment, conduit/duct/cable placement).
• Drive tow vehicle hauling equipment to and around job site.
