Job summary

ARCO is seeking a Traveling Assistant Superintendent with 5-10 years of leadership in commercial ground-up projects to manage field operations and administrative tasks from day one on travel assignments. You will ensure schedules, budgets, and specifications are met while coordinating with project teams in dynamic travel roles.

This position requires coordinating subcontractors, reviewing shop drawings, daily diary maintenance, and regular progress reporting to the project and regional managers.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years' of construction experience as a Assistant Superintendent.
• Proficient in using Word, Excel, Outlook, and project scheduling programs.
• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver license in your state of residence.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing/walking for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Attend the post-award review meeting to receive project information and details for preplanning before construction.
• Coordinate the activities of subcontractors to integrate with project schedules and progress.
• Direct and control the total construction project to meet specifications and schedule.
• Review and approve all requisitions, field purchase orders, invoices, and other significant reports and documents.
• Cooperate with the owner and his representatives, keeping them informed of construction progress.
• Hold job site meetings with the project manager and regional manager; report regularly on progress, plans, and problems.
