Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC is seeking an experienced traveling Assistant Superintendent to join our team and lead large-scale, multi-million dollar projects in the Industrial & Industrial/Aerospace markets. This role is based out of our Nashville, TN office and requires travel to projects potentially outside Tennessee in GA, AL, NC, SC, or FL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Industrial or Industrial/Aerospace experience preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal documents
• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing to top management, owners, and outside entities
• Basic math skills
• Basic computer skills
• Professional attitude and appearance
• People management skills
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Assists Superintendent with duties or acts in place of superintendent
• Advocates safety as top priority and enforces safety plans and regulations
• Coordinate with Estimating, Division Management and Project Management to supervise projects and coordinate with owner, designers, and subcontractors
• Develops and implements production plans with budget goals
• Assists Project Manager with project status reports
• Prepares payroll submissions and HR/Payroll documentation
• Oversees subcontractors to monitor compliance with terms
• Ensures construction schedules are adhered to by staffing and procurement
• Coordinates and oversees regulatory inspections
