Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC is seeking an experienced traveling Assistant Superintendent to manage large-scale, multi-million dollar projects in the Industrial & Industrial/Aerospace sectors. The position is based out of Nashville, TN, with travel to projects potentially outside TN in GA, AL, NC, SC or FL.

You will work with the Superintendent and project teams to ensure safety, schedule adherence, and quality across sites nationwide.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 5 years of relevant construction experience.
Industrial or Industrial/Aerospace experience preferred.
OSHA knowledge and compliance required.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic math and computer skills.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Assists Superintendent with duties or responsibilities as assigned.
Advocates safety as a priority and enforces safety plans and regulations.
Supervises and coordinates management of construction projects with owner, designers and subcontractors.
Develops and implements production plans with budget goals.
Prepares project status reports and payroll documentation as needed.
Reviews plans and shop drawings for conformance to contracts.
Procures tools and materials to meet the work schedule.
Determines staffing levels and timing for each phase of the project.
Recruits, hires, and directs on-site field personnel per HR policies.
Ensures schedules and material procurement align with project timelines.
Monitors subcontractor performance and compliance with terms.
Coordinates regulatory inspections and enforces company policies.
