Overview:

This is a full-time on-site role for a Traveling Construction Superintendent at TMS Construction. As a key player in our operations, the Traveling Superintendent will ensure smooth project execution, uphold our commitment to excellence, and lead teams to deliver outstanding results on every site.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise & Coordinate: Lead and coordinate daily on-site activities, ensuring seamless project execution while maintaining top safety and quality standards
2. Leadership & Morale: Inspire and motivate crews, fostering a high-performance culture and strong teamwork throughout every project phase
3. Project Documentation: Maintain accurate daily reports, including progress updates, photos, payroll, equipment usage, field reports, schedule changes, and email correspondence to keep all stakeholders informed
4. Project Understanding: Read and interpret project documents, such as drawings, specifications, RFI’s, submittals, subcontracts, and owner agreements to ensure all work is executed as per the agreed plans
5. Schedule & Cost Control: Strategically manage project schedules and budgets to prevent overruns and keep projects on track
6. Stakeholder Interaction: Serve as the main point of contact for project inspectors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, city officials, and clients
7. Punch List & Project Completion: Manage the punch process to ensure timely project completion and the resolution of any outstanding issues

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in Big Box ground up construction and renovation projects is highly desirable
• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar leadership role in the construction industry for 5 years
• Ability and willingness to travel and work on-site at various project locations across the country
• Proficient in understanding and managing project scheduling and cost control
• OSHA certification or SWPPP training
