Job summary

Summit Line Construction, a Quanta Services subsidiary, seeks an Assistant Project Manager for high‑voltage transmission, substation, and distribution projects. This traveling role covers sites across the western region, requiring up to 100% travel and hands-on project coordination.

You’ll assist with budgets, schedules, contracts, RFIs, and documentation, coordinating with suppliers and supervision to ensure timely, compliant project delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office.
• Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to adapt to changing project needs and travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with budget projections for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Track project costs against forecast and report findings to leadership.
• Develop and maintain Schedule of Values (SOV); update based on production and billing.
• Assist with pre-construction bid preparation, contracts, and planning.
• Develop baseline project schedules and update running schedule accordingly.
• Support contract revisions and supplier/subcontractor changes.
• Maintain project documents; prepare progress reports and RFIs.
• Communicate with supervisors, subcontractors, and engineers to resolve issues.
• Develop material trackers and monitor BOM, inventories, and damages.
