Join our Traveling Construction Materials Technician team, where you can embark on new opportunities, develop professionally, and contribute to thrilling projects nationwide. This position involves travel, and applicants must live within a two-hour radius from one of our offices located in Texas.

In this position, you will travel 100% of the time to work on multiple high-profile projects such as transportation, commercial buildings, wind farms, and more in many geographical areas. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys traveling, working on various high-profile projects, and who is looking to advance their construction material testing career.

General Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of a materials engineering project to ensure safe, timely, and within scope and budget completion.
  • Complete projects according to contracted scope; monitor progress and performance against plans.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational problems to minimize delays.
  • Manage resources, project scheduling, budgets, forecasts, and coordinate with external vendors, subcontractors, or contractors.
  • Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate project status to the team and clients.
  • Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet targets and milestones.
  • Communicate with clients and deliver work to their satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with APR to ensure engagement throughout the project, especially at critical points.
  • Handle invoicing, change orders, and collections.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage small projects or phases of larger projects under supervision.
  • Implement established project plans.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues to minimize delays.
  • Lead safety efforts and ensure compliance with safety plans.
  • Analyze project requirements, perform calculations, and prepare reports and deliverables.
  • Coordinate outside contractors to ensure satisfactory service standards.
  • Estimate costs, resources, and time; monitor activities and allocate resources.
  • Conduct project meetings and prepare status reports.
  • Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate staff to meet milestones.
  • Deliver project deliverables to clients as per scope and schedule.
  • Ensure work is completed within the approved budget.
  • Coordinate with APR for oversight and review at critical junctures.
  • Be aware of project-related risks and company policies to mitigate them.
  • Lead safety initiatives and promote a safe work environment.
  • Monitor and improve quality standards on projects.
  • Maintain consistent quality in project and proposal delivery, engaging APRs early on.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or related field with at least 2 years’ experience, or 6 years’ related experience without a degree.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
  • Willingness to travel 100% of the time.

This is a "Remote Only" position, allowing work from home or other locations without a designated office workspace.

The salary range is $62,700-$97,200, adjustable based on location, qualifications, and experience.
