Description
Reporting to the Director, Construction Management, the Assistant Project Manager supports planning, coordination, and execution of renewable energy projects, including solar and wind, ensuring project goals are met within schedule and budget. Willingness to relocate based on project locations is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage design, engineering, and construction of solar projects, including procurement, budgeting, change management, and project turnover.
• Develop and execute work plans, manage budgets, and coordinate with external vendors and internal teams.
• Support permitting, legal contract negotiations, and project development activities.
• Coordinate meetings, oversee quality control, and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in transitioning projects to operations and manage project timelines and interconnection agreements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience as a lead Assistant Project Manager or similar role in renewable projects.
• Knowledge of contracting, engineering, construction, and regulatory practices.
• Ability to travel and work in remote locations, interpret financial reports, and use project scheduling software.
• Strong communication, organizational, and technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license, physical ability to perform job functions, and willingness to be on-call.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years project management experience, preferably in solar energy.
• BS in Engineering or Construction Management; PE/PMP preferred.
• Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and wind energy.
• Proficiency with GIS, AutoCAD, and other project support tools.
