Job summary
Insight Enterprises is seeking a Traveling Installation Technician for fleet deployments. The role is a 12-month W2 contract, travel-heavy, with a schedule Monday through Friday and home on weekends.
Pay is $30/hour, requiring hands-on installation of 12-volt technology in various fleet vehicles and customer-facing responsibilities. The technician will train in our client’s hardware/software, bring personal tools, and ensure safe work around vehicle electrical systems while solving issues with
Qualifications
- Experience deploying 12-volt technology in fleet vehicles.
- Willingness to travel 100% and work Mon–Fri.
- Provide your own hand tools for on-site installations.
- Basic networking knowledge and hardware setup.
Responsibilities
- Deploy 12-volt tech in fleet vehicles.
- Train on installation and use of client hardware/software.
- Provide your own tools (wrenches, sockets, cutters, soldering iron, drill).
- Demonstrate troubleshooting with a multimeter.
- Work with vehicle electrical systems safely.
- Solder wires and crimp connections.
- Basic networking concepts; cradlepoint router knowledge a plus.
- Experience with cars, SUVs, RVs.
- Travel 100% weekly; home on weekends.
- Work independently and in a team.
