Job summary

Healing Partners is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to direct and evaluate health care for residents and staff in multiple long-term care facilities. You will travel regionally, assess chronic and acute wound conditions, and collaborate with physicians and the medical director to optimize care.

The role emphasizes on-site wound management and patient education. The position requires an APNP license, master’s degree in nursing, and completion of an approved NP program.

Qualifications

• Masters in Nursing or equivalent required.
• APRN license and board approval required to perform medical acts.
• Completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program.
• Covid vaccination proof required.
• Current RN licensure in state.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and evaluate resident and employee health care in long-term care.
• Daily travel to multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Examine and treat wound-related illnesses and injuries.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and recommend follow-up.
• Refer to physicians, write prescriptions, and perform bedside procedures.
• Collaborate with medical director for resident care.
• Debride wounds using various methods as appropriate on-site.
• Manage topical wound care and related products.
• Educate patients and primary care physicians on wound care practices.
