Vestas is seeking a 100% travel MCE Wind Technician II to support the South region from Austin, TX and Mingus, TX. The role offers overtime, travel and potential earnings over $100,000 annually, with comprehensive training and safety certifications.

You will lead or support major component exchanges on wind turbines, including gearboxes and generators, traveling to sites nationwide. A strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and hands-on MCE work is required, with a valid driver's license and

Formación

• Must follow safety protocols and risk assessments to ensure a safe work environment.
• Preferred wind turbine experience with hands-on MCE work.
• Minimum 1 year of wind technician experience or 6 months with Wind Technician cert/education, or 2 years transferrable mechanical, electrical, hydraulic experience.
• Proven troubleshooting and major repair capabilities on multiple turbine platforms.
• Comfortable with 100% travel and working in varied site conditions.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in diverse teams.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure safety for all team members on site and follow established safety regulations.
• Perform major component exchanges including gearboxes, generators, and related systems.
• Execute maintenance, repairs, design modifications, retrofits, and special projects per procedures.
• Travel extensively to support turbine operations across multiple platforms and sites.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality work.
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain secure working environments.
