Vestas is seeking a Repair Technician II for a remote, hourly role with extensive travel across the Midwest. You will lead or support major component exchanges on wind turbines, including gearboxes and generators, while improving electrical and mechanical skills and contributing to clean energy projects.

Ideal candidates have wind technician experience, familiarity with MCE work, and a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum one year of wind technician experience.
• Wind technician experience with MCE work preferred.
• Two years of transferrable mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic experience.
• Proven troubleshooting and major repair skills on turbine components.

Aufgaben

• Ensure safety first; perform risk assessments and follow protocols.
• Conduct major component exchanges (gearboxes, generators, etc.).
• Execute maintenance, repairs, retrofits, and special projects per procedures.
• Travel extensively to support turbine operations across sites.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality work.
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain a secure working environment.
• Expose yourself to varied turbine platforms and site conditions.
