Job summary

Acuren is currently recruiting for a Visual Inspector/API (510/570/653) to support operations in Decatur, AL. The role involves performing visual and non-destructive examination of pressure-retaining equipment in line with API and ASME standards.

You will submit technically accurate reports, provide recommendations for repair or alteration, and collaborate with client engineers. Willingness to travel is expected, and on-site work in petrochemical facilities is common.

Qualifications

• API 510/570 certification required.
• In-depth knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards.
• Experience supporting petrochemical facility engineers.
• Experience of 5–10 years or 2+ years on site is required.
• API 653 or CWI certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and non-destructive examination of pressure-retaining equipment per API/ASME standards.
• Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.
• Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement, or alteration of plant equipment.
• Provide technical input on welding and metallurgical issues as required.
• Offer guidance on application of NDE techniques and procedures.
• Comply with all safety practices and participate in site safety initiatives.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
