Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer for an acute care hospital. Requires 2+ years of General and OB/GYN-Vascular ultrasound experience, ARDMS/RDMS/RVT certifications, BLS, and licensure as applicable. Candidate must reside within 60 miles of the facility.

Responsibilities include performing General, OB/GYN, and Vascular studies, using Epic and Fuji PACS, with a Radiologist in-house except on call. Shifts are 4x10 hours, with call and weekend requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience required.
• Current BLS certification (AHA) is required.
• ARDMS, RDMS and RVT certifications are required.
• General or OB/GYN-Vascular experience preferred.
• Experience performing procedures required.
• License required if applicable.
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration.
• Two professional references: one supervisor (last 12 months) and one peer/supervisor (last 3 years), with dates and rehiring eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting in Radiology/Ultrasound.
• Department has 4 scanners/rooms.
• No floating to other departments required.
• Performs General, OB/GYN, and Vascular studies along with procedures, drains and biopsies.
• Average 8–10 scans per day, sometimes more.
• Uses Epic and Fuji PACS systems; Philips ultrasound equipment.
• Radiologist in-house except when on call.
• Work 4x10 hour day shifts (7:00–5:30 or 7:30–6:00).
• Call required 1–2 nights per week and every 3rd weekend; weekend coverage as needed.
• Holiday coverage required if needed.
• Department-specific orientation provided; scrubs allowed.
