Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a General Ultrasound Technologist for a day-shift assignment in a hospital setting. The role requires at least 1 year of ultrasound experience and ARDMS certification to perform OB/GYN, abdominal, vascular, pediatric and small parts studies.

The candidate should have an active state license if applicable, be able to cover major holidays, and may float to sister facilities near the contracted location. High pay, per diems, and travel reimbursements are offered.

Qualifications

• Proficient in general ultrasound including OB/GYN, abdominal, vascular and small parts.
• ARDMS and BLS certification are required.
• Active compact state license required at submission; license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging across OB/GYN, abdominal, vascular, pediatric and small parts studies.
• Work in a hospital setting with adult patients, including ED coverage.
• Shift: 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; may float between sister facilities near the location.
• May perform ultrasound-guided procedures as needed.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist for a day-shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience and ARDMS certification.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• ARDMS and BLS certification required
• Active compact state license required at time of submission; license required if applicable
• Proficiency with OB/GYN ultrasound including fetal, neonatal, and pediatric studies
• Experience with general ultrasound including abdominal, biliary, and renal studies
• Experience with vascular studies including carotid, Doppler, and duplex imaging
• Experience with small parts imaging including thyroid and testicular studies
• Experience with procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, and ultrasound-guided biopsy preferred
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• 2 references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required

Responsibilities

• General ultrasound unit within a hospital setting
• Adult patient population, including Emergency Department work settings
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• May be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging across OB/GYN, abdominal, vascular, pediatric, and small parts studies
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning staff may be eligible to reapply after 3 months, provided they live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated
• First-time travelers are not considered for this assignment
