Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a freestanding ER setting, requiring ARDMS certification and prior travel and pediatric experience.

Details

• Work in a brand new, state-of-the‑art freestanding Emergency Department
• 3x8 hour day shifts from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• EOW/EOH weekend rotation required
• Float between Nashoba and Marlborough campuses with advanced notice, approximately 30-40 minutes apart
• Uses Epic for charting and PACS and Philips equipment
• May work alone at the Nashoba location depending on shift, requiring a full 12-hour shift without a 30‑minute break while remaining on‑site

Requirements

• ARDMS certification required (license required if applicable)
• ARDMS AB certification required; ARDMS OB/GYN and ARDMS RVT preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Documented pediatric ultrasound experience in a complex medical center required
• Skills in abdomen, appendix, bladder, liver/spleen, pelvic, renal, scrotum, soft tissue injuries, abdominal aorta, biliary tract, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, and pediatric abdomen/pelvis imaging
• Experience with vascular studies including aorta, carotid, color flow, duplex, and lower/upper extremity venous imaging
• Experience with cyst aspiration, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and ultrasound‑guided biopsy/FNA procedures preferred
• Experience with OB/GYN and 1st trimester imaging
• Must pass EKG competency test
• Two professional references required, one of which must be a Nurse Manager or higher

Additional Information

• Work settings include Emergency Department, ICU, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and Vascular patient populations
• Perform portable ultrasound studies as needed
• Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility
• Facility requires strict adherence to the posted start date with no flexibility
