Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Class B Lineman to construct and repair electrical transmission systems. You will work on energized and de-energized powerlines, travel to job sites as needed, and report to the Foreman.

The role requires at least three years of transmission line experience, a valid CDL, and willingness to travel long distances. You will work outdoors in varied conditions and may be on call during outages and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of recent transmission line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair energized and de-energized transmission systems while prioritizing safety.
• Install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Comprehensive knowledge of switching and tagging procedures, EPZ grounding and understanding induced voltage on de-energized lines using proper tools and test equipment.
• Climb structures (wood, steel, concrete) using approved methods and equipment.
• Work at heights around energized equipment and heavy lifting/rigging.
• Operate and maintain bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers.
• Work outdoors in varying conditions including extreme weather and outages.
