Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN for a night shift at a Level II Trauma teaching hospital in Washington. A neurology background and NIHSS proficiency are required, along with an active WA RN license.

duties include telemetry and neurological nursing care, 1:5 patient ratio, and 19:00–07:00 shifts with every other weekend. Travel may be required for non-local candidates with housing and licensure benefits.

Qualifications

• Active WA state license required and in hand at time of consideration.
• Current BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience with neurology focus.
• Experience with NIH Stroke Scale and post-surgical neurology care.
• Epic charting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in Telemetry unit of Level II Trauma teaching hospital.
• Care for neurology patients including post-surgical cases.
• Maintain 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Night shifts: 19:00–07:00, 3x12 hours.
• Every other weekend; float between units; no on-call.
• Provide telemetry, medications, and procedural sedation support.
